"As my name is
Steven Van Nuffelen,"

as a result of 16 years of experience
know how and flexibility became my pass-word

Started by obtaining a degree in electronics,
was then followed by a year's work as a theatre technician at the Royal Ballet of Flanders,
and was furthermore continued through artistic training.

"I transform it into ....

Stevarius

; the well known ....eh..,ahem...,
the,
the Maestro Fire B Eater. "

"If you want to live up to your ambitions, you have to be brave, work thoroughly, get past the first obstacles, but first of all: get the proper training."

Three years Antwerp Mime-Studio, two years at De Kleine Akademie in Brussels and in between several practical's in Flamenco, Tai-chi and classical ballet paved the road. Then came vocal training, researching multi-dimensions, training with La Fura dels Baus and finally a practical training concentrating on the Laugh and Smile.

"I had to spend my time working !"

Countless made to measure animations, a beach act in cooperation with Aksident, working as a mime-clown in Bellewaerde Park, short films, TV-series, theatre festivals, loony cooking demonstrations on fairs, mime workshops and instructing children in theatre.
A practical at the Antwerpse Ziekenhuisclowns (hospital clowning), etc. Furthermore: presentations for a traffic-counseling program in Flemish schools and motivations training for executive staff. I also take on role-playing, as well as instructing for business training in various domains ranging from anti-aggression over assessment to team building.

I have directed, written and performed in many theatre pieces, performances, interventions, animations, receptions, festivities over a wide range of themes:

music theatre
on a play based by James Joyce,
Sam Shepard's "Tongues"
"Strontje Trap?", a poetical solo in movement, written thru self reflection.

Several television performances on the national, as well as on the commercial broadcasting stations and locale television, and some movies.

Created a high-tech show "Spinball" on the Plato theme: "The myth of the cave", and Akhenaton, the Sun god, in a personal production.
Pleu Zand: performance at the beach during the sand castle festival
Infernoland originally performed in Fort Napoleon, Ostend
As Halloween becomes more and more a popular event, the standard ongoing shows are developed thru this theme

"And what's my name???"

"And what else is there worth saying...

And yah,
there are numerous people to thank,
so as they stood about while I've been performing,
people behind the screens.
Here you see some of them:
